Changes to how you request appointments

At TMGP, we have been reviewing our workload and the way we provide appointments to ensure our service remains safe and sustainable for both patients and staff.

We have identified that the way we currently manage appointment requests is not sustainable in the long term, and changes are needed to help us provide patients with the right care, from the right person, at the right time.

From Monday 22nd June 2026, if you call or visit the surgery to request an appointment, you will be asked to complete an eConsult form. If you are contacting us with an urgent problem that requires attention on the same day, please call us or come into the surgery and our team will assist you accordingly.

Don’t worry if you are unable to do this yourself – a member of our reception team will be happy to complete an eConsult Lite on your behalf.

Our aim is to ensure that patients are directed to the most appropriate clinician or service for their needs, helping us to provide a more efficient and effective service for everyone.

Urgent medical problems will continue to be prioritised, and patients without internet access or who are unable to complete an online form will still be able to access care with support from our reception team.

Thank you for your understanding and support as we make these changes, helping us to continue providing the best possible care to our patients.
